We loved our stay at Canmore Suites! The room was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable trip. Great service and beautiful surroundings. 5 stars all around!
My family is in the middle of a move from Maryland to Alaska and we made the Rockies our halfway point/rest stop. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with our two dogs! They even had a little doggie gift bag with poo bags and dog toys at check in. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and shops, and a 2 minute walk to grocery stores. We stayed on the rail side and the train sounds didn’t bother us at all. The bath towels were soft and thick and plush and the bedding was very comfortable. My kids loved the waterslide and pool. I loved the 24/7 coffee station. The highlight was probably the delicious breakfast each morning though. If we ever come back to Canmore we would certainly stay here again.
Decent rooms and great breakfast, but severely let down by housekeeping and train noise
The rooms here are nice and the breakfast is genuinely great with plenty of choices. However, housekeeping was a major disappointment over our 3-night stay. Rooms were serviced very late in the day, toiletries weren't refilled daily, and trash was left uncollected with the front desk offering odd excuses about trash placed next to an overflowing bin—is management expecting guests to dispose of their own trash?
A few other key points for future guests:
Train Noise: Active train tracks run directly behind the property. Better noise insulation is urgently needed to make these rooms truly comfortable for a good night's rest.
Outdated Safe Locks: In-room safes require picking up a physical key at the front desk along with a $50 deposit, rather than using a standard digital keypad.
Parking: Spots can be tough to find if you return late on busy nights.
Great potential here, but management needs to address housekeeping standards and room soundproofing.

I loved almost everything except our room was right by the railroad. One side of the hotel is a parking lot away from the railroad and the train goes alllll night. If you are a light sleeper you should make sure you room on the other side of the hotel. The pool was great and heated with a slide. The Inn was walking distance from a grocery store and restaurants, which was nice.
We had a wonderful stay at Canmore Inn & Suites! This was our second visit, and once again, we were extremely happy with our experience. The room was very cozy, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. My Husband and mother both loved the room, and we all felt very comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay.
The breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of options. It was a great way to start our mornings before heading out to explore Canmore and the surrounding area.
The location is one of the best things about this hotel. It is very convenient for exploring Canmore and nearby attractions, while also being a comfortable place to come back to after a busy day.
The price was a little on the higher side, but we still found it affordable and felt that it was worth the money considering the location, comfort, breakfast, and overall experience.
Since this was our second stay, we can confidently say that we would definitely stay here again in the future. Canmore Inn & Suites has become one of our favourite places to stay in Canmore, and we would happily recommend it to our family and friends.

Repeat guests for close to a decade. Excellent service, fabulous pool and waterside, well equipped rooms and central location. Highly recommend, especially for families on a budget.
Showers are extremely tiny ... So if you have a kid who needs help with shower or hair wash it's impossible to fit an adult and a kid at the same time ... Other than that the hotel is located at a very convenient place ... Staff, cleanliness of rooms and hotel amenities are excellent. I highly recommend this place
